Submarines In this relatively complex automaton, two colorful submarines assert their dominion over the watery deep, amid roiling seas. The problem is that neither knows the other is there: as the first one rises the other submerges. The box is of varnished Baltic birch ply (a wonderful material). The mechanics include cranks, ratchets, levers, and eccentrics. |
